Starting something new can feel big. You’re not alone. Here are the answers parents ask most before enrolling.
Not at all. Every dancer begins somewhere. Whether it’s your child’s very first twirl or they're ready to take their technique to the next level, they're in the right place.
Children from 18 months to 17 years old are currently loving their dance journey here. Next year, there’ll be classes up to 18 years as older levels are added.
Something comfy works perfectly! A t-shirt with leggings or shorts and bare feet is ideal for the first class. When you sign up to A Star Dance you'll receive your very own uniform as a welcome to the family. Your dancer will also receive a new uniform when they move into levels requiring a new colour.
Levels are based on both age and ability — which means your child is supported at the right pace, in the right place, with the right people. It’s all about growing confidence and joy in the most empowering way.
If your child is in Twirltime, you’re warmly invited to join them in the studio (one parent per dancer).
For all other classes, it’s a closed-door experience — which allows your child to focus, build confidence and enjoy a space that’s just for them.
Yes — and it’s designed to be age appropriate, simple and convenient.
Option A is a pink skirted leotard, while Option B is a white t-shirt with navy leggings.
You'll receive your very own uniform when you start your classes.
