Where Bebe Ballet magic meets the A Star Dance community
Twirltime classes at A Star Dance use the Bebe Ballet Preschool Dance Program, lovingly created by the Founder of A Star Dance.
Bebe Ballet is a purpose designed early childhood dance curriculum created especially for children aged 18 months to 8 years. It is built on child development, emotional connection, age appropriate technique and playful storytelling.
You get the best of both worlds.
Your child begins with the wonderful foundation of ballet, joy and sparkle through the Bebe Ballet preschool program, then continues their dance journey with confidence, connection and growth at A Star Dance.

FAQs
Do I have to dance with my child?
You’re welcome to join in, especially in those early days when your little one may need some extra reassurance. Most children feel more secure with a familiar face nearby. Over time, you'll likely see them grow more confident and start exploring on their own. If your child prefers to dance solo, that’s perfectly okay too—just stay close by for support when needed.
What should my child wear for their first class?
No need to buy anything new, just pop them in a t-shirt and some comfy shorts or leggings, and bare feet are perfect to start. Your child will receive their very own Bebe Ballet uniform at their first class (once payment has gone through), which makes them feel even more special and part of the experience. Please note that the boys uniform may take a week or 2 to arrive.
Can parents/carers watch class?
Absolutely! One adult per dancer is invited into every Twirltime class. Your presence is not only welcome, it’s an important part of helping your child feel safe and supported. (For older levels, classes are closed so our little dancers can focus.)
Are performances Compulsory
Not at all. Performances are optional, but they’re a beautiful way to celebrate your dancer’s progress and confidence. You’ll have the opportunity to join us for up to three joyful showcases each year:
May/June - Mid Year Showcase
October/November - Spring Gala
December - Christmas Concert

What If We Miss a Class?
We know life with little ones can be unpredictable! If you miss a class, it’s easy to book a catch-up. We’ll help you find a time and location that suits your family—simple, easy, and convenient.
What Happens If My Child Cries or Doesn’t Want to Join In?
This is completely normal, especially in the beginning. Our teachers are wonderfully warm and experienced, and we’ll gently encourage your child at their own pace. There’s no rush. You’re right there to support them, and over time, you’ll likely see them blossom with confidence and joy.
Your child deserves a movement journey filled with joy, sparkle and confidence. You deserve a weekly moment that fills your heart.
