Coming to a new place can sometimes be overwhelming and you may have some questions. Here are some common questions received
If you need to know anything else just complete the contact us form below
DO I NEED TO HAVE EXPERIENCE TO START?
Experience isn’t necessary. Every dancer begins somewhere, and all are welcome to take their first steps here.
How old are your students?
Students start from 18 months all the way to 16 years old. Seniors are gradually being added, so next year classes will be available for 1.5 to 17 year olds.
What should my child wear for their first class?
For the first class, a comfortable t-shirt, leggings, or shorts paired with bare feet is ideal. Uniform options can be discussed with the teacher after the class.
How are class levels determined?
Classes are based on both age and ability, ensuring that each child has the opportunity to grow at their own pace while feeling supported.
Can parents watch class?
One parent per dancer is invited to attend Twirltime classes. All other classes are closed to allow dancers to focus.
Do you have a Dress Code?
Yes, there are two options available for students. Option A is a pink skirted leotard, while Option B is a white t-shirt with navy leggings. Further information can be found here.
What about dance shoes?
For the youngest little dancers, it is preferred they start barefoot to observe how their feet are tracking. Ballet shoes are required for all ballet classes, while tap shoes can be worn in Soloist and Primary classes for the tap section of class.
From Rising stars level students are required to have correct shoes for each genre: tap, jazz and ballet. Further info can be found here.
What do I bring to class?
A water bottle, a smile, and enthusiasm to learn are all that’s needed to make the most of each class.
