FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Coming to a new place can sometimes be overwhelming and you may have some questions. Here are some common questions received
If you need to know anything else just complete the contact us form below
DO I NEED TO HAVE EXPERIENCE TO START?
Absolutely not. Everyone has to start somewhere, and you're invited to take your first steps of dance with us!
How old are your students?
Students start from 18 months all the way to 16 years old. Seniors are gradually being added, so next year classes will be available for 1.5 to 17 year olds.
What should my child wear for their first class?
For your first class please put your child in something they already have: tshirt, shorts/leggings and bare foot is a perfect way to start classes. After class you can purchase a uniform with your teacher.
My child has never danced before. How do I know which level is best for them?
Dancers of all skill levels are welcome with class levels based on both age and ability. New dancers are supported in growing at their own pace, while long time students are simultaneously challenged to further their skills.
Can parents watch class?
One parent per dancer is invited to attend the Twirltime class. All other levels are closed to family and friends.
Do you have a Dress Code?
Yes, there are two options available for students. Option A is a pink skirted leotard, while Option B is a white t-shirt with navy leggings. Further information can be found here.
What about dance shoes?
For the youngest little dancers, it is preferred they start barefoot to observe how their feet are tracking. Ballet shoes are required for all ballet classes, while tap shoes can be worn in Soloist and Primary classes for the tap section of class.
From Rising stars level students are required to have correct shoes for each genre: tap, jazz and ballet. Further info can be found here.
What do I bring to class?
Please bring a water bottle, enthusiasm, a willingness to give everything a go and a smile!
