Tuition Policy
General Terms
- Tuition must be paid via Direct Debit (through Payrix) using your nominated bank account or credit card. Payments are made in advance.
- Monthly payments will be processed on the 7th of each month from January to October.
- No refunds will be provided under any circumstances, including missed classes due to illness, injury, holidays, or government-enforced lockdowns.
- Fees are payable regardless of attendance.
- The invitation to perform is included in your tuition. If your child does not participate in performances, there is no reimbursement of tuition.
- To cancel a class, one month's written notice is required.
Visitor Pass, Casual & Holiday Classes
Visitor Pass classes are available for $29 per class and are only available if there is enough room in a class. We do not allow casual classes to occur if the class is full.
Vistor Pass students are not able to perform in any of our performance opportunities.
If you pre-book your Visitor Pass/Holiday class and are unable to attend on the date, please contact us to reschedule. You have 4 weeks to reschedule the class.

Payment Through Payrix
A Star Dance offers direct deposit and online credit card payments through Payrix.
In the event that you need to change your bank/credit card details please contact us immediately to update to ensure there is no failed payment
Monthly Payments
Monthly payments will be processed on the 7th of each month from January to October.
If you prefer payments to be processed weekly or fortnightly, you must notify us in writing (email or letter). These payments will also commence from the 7th of the month.

Important Notes
- Fees and Payments are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Amendments will be made in the case of prolonged illness or other exceptional circumstances.
- Fees are non-refundable for change of mind.
- Should you leave class early you are not entitled to a refund or credit. Depending on the circumstance we may offer a catch up class.
- Notice of cessation of classes must be in writing with a minimum one month's notice.
- Should a family withdraw prior to the dance year commencing, tuition will be refunded by bank transfer less a $22 administration charge. Families may elect to receive a 100% credit to their dance account instead, to be used on dance tuition, within 6 months. No refunds or credits will be given once the dancing year commences on 1 February.
- Each location has dancewear that is available for purchase. By allowing your child to wear an item that is for sale, carers must purchase the item. Payments must be made when items are taken or we will process the payment via Direct Debit within 48 hours
- Should families have an extended break (eg overseas holidays) tuition will not be pro ratered. Children will be able to attend catch up classes during the term to make up for the missed classes
- Classes with low numbers will have the option to either merge with another class, move into an alternative class or pay a levy to help assist with the running of the class.
- Classes cancelled due to insufficient enrolment will have the balance of tuition refunded by bank transfer.
Peformance Policies
- The opportunity to perform during the dancing year (February - November) is included in your monthly tuition.
- The invitation to perform is included in your tuition. If your child does not participate in performances, there is no reimbursement of tuition.
- Ticket sales are final and no refunds or exchanges will be made. This includes if you buy additional tickets.
- Should patrons purchase tickets for the wrong show they are to contact A Star Dance immediately. We may be able to exchange the tickets for you. If we are able to exchange the tickets, patrons will be charged an admin fee of $15.
In the event that we are forced to postpone our performance families have the option for all ticket sales paid via TryBooking (or another 3rd party) to be refunded back or we will wait until we know when we will be able to reschedule our performance.
In the event that we are forced to cancel our performance families all ticket sales paid via TryBooking (or another 3rd party) will be refunded back To participate in the Christmas Concert, an additional payment will be processed on 7th November.

Failed payment
In the event of a failed Direct Debit attempt, a $15 dishonour fee will be added to your account. The outstanding payment, plus the dishonour fee, will be rescheduled for the following week.
Paying upfront in FULL Pay for only 9 months - Get one month FREE!
- Families choosing to pay for the entire year upfront (will pay for 9 months of tuition instead of 10) will have their payment processed on 7th January.
- If your child is eligible to receive a Sports Voucher for SA Government the application form must be completed by 21 December 2024
- No refunds are provided under any circumstances for upfront payments.
- If a direct debit payment for upfront tuition fails, the discount offer will no longer apply, and standard fees will be reinstated.

Privacy and Data Protection
All financial and personal data provided to A Star Dance will be treated confidentially and in accordance with applicable privacy laws. Your information will not be shared with third parties, except as required for processing payments via Payrix or in the event that there is no payment and a collection agency is brought in.
Force Majeure
A Star Dance will not be liable for disruptions to classes, performances, or tuition due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, or prolonged lockdowns. In such cases, alternative arrangements (e.g., online classes) will be offered where possible, but refunds will not be provided.
Sports Voucher Submission
Paying Monthly: For families paying monthly (weekly or fortnightly) please submit the Sport Voucher by 1 August 2025.
Paying upfront: To qualify for upfront payment discounts, the Sports Voucher form must be submitted by 21 December 2024. Failure to submit the form by this deadline may result in forfeiture of the Sports Voucher for 2025 at A Star Dance.
